1. General Information
ITO BINDERY and the website ito-bindery.co.jp are operated by ITO BINDERY Co., Ltd. Placing an order constitutes agreement to these Terms of Service and all related policies. All transactions are governed by Japanese law.
2. Products
ITO BINDERY Co., Ltd. develops and manufactures the majority of products sold on ito-bindery.com. We also offer select products from other manufacturers. ITO BINDERY is not responsible for inaccuracies in the descriptions of third-party products. English usage and care instructions are provided on product pages when possible.
3. Orders
The checkout process includes cart confirmation, billing and shipping address, shipping options, payment, and order confirmation. Customers can review and modify order details before final confirmation. An order confirmation email is sent once the order is received.
4. Price and Payment
Product prices exclude shipping and handling, and applicable taxes depend on the destination country. Shipping fees are displayed at checkout and may vary for heavy or large orders. All payments are securely processed by third-party providers, such as PayPal. ITO BINDERY does not store financial information. Import duties, customs taxes, and related fees are the customer’s responsibility.
5. Shipping Policy
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 5 business days, excluding weekends or Japanese public holidays. Customers receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. Express carriers, such as FedEx and DHL, are used. Free worldwide shipping applies to orders of $100 USD or more, and for Middle Eastern countries, $200 USD or more. Shipping costs vary by destination:
- Zone 1 (Asia) – $15
- Zone 2 (America, Canada, Oceania) – $20
- Zone 3 (Europe) – $25
- Zone 4 (Middle Eastern countries) – $35
Customers are responsible for tracking their shipments using the provided tracking number. ITO BINDERY is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or incorrect customer information. Returned packages can be reshipped at the customer’s expense.
6. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and required documents. Refusal to pay customs or taxes resulting in a returned package will result in a refund minus the original shipping and any return shipping fees. Some express shipments may not be returnable due to high return shipping costs; in such cases, the package may be destroyed without a refund.
7. Refund and Return Policy
All sales are final due to the delicate nature of the products. Returns or exchanges are accepted only if the item is damaged or defective, or if ITO BINDERY sent the wrong item, color, or size. Customers must contact store@ito-bindey.co.jp within 7 days of delivery with the order number and photos. Items must be unused and returned in their original packaging. Order cancellations are only allowed before dispatch. Refunds for approved returns will be processed within 5 business days after the returned items are received by ITO BINDERY Co., Ltd.
